There they are! Preference folder, of course, thx! For prosperity, locations of said folder on every platform: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2016/ENU/Maya/files/GUID-045ADC80-E38A-4F2C-A428-8CE19D51D3A8-htm.html (a shame you can't import/export preference as a simple…
i put all my projects (including failed attempts at games, models and even music) into a folder called Projects I keep my OS on small partitions of their own. less than 10gb for each I put reference in a "figure" folder, with subcategories i.e. anime_female_resin, naked_male_african,…
do you mean using a scaleform movie in a material? This is possible, however the workflow has not been improved upon in a while, which is why its not fully documented yet (sorry!). You have to jump through some hoops as a result unfortunately. The one catch will be that it has to exist in a level, and can only be previewed…
Everything I imported and the level I created are in the content folder. I also tried importing a simple teapot directly inside the level's package but it doesn't let me drag the teapot into the level.... the fbx and .tga textures before import are outside those folders but I don't think that's what you mean. Any idea?
I don't think you can save the backface masking setting. A simple solution to this would be to bring the button out from the menu into your custom interface. Custom matcaps, brushes, and other things should automatically load on startup if you place them in the appropriate folder under the ZStartup directory, and not just…
Felix, If you located your project and look in the "preview" folder, that´s where 3do stores the jpeg´s it uses. See how they look, if they have the old texture you can try deleting them to force 3do to update! Don´t delete everything in that folder though as all your mask thumbs are stored there as well!
Sounds like you haven't been setting your project properly. make sure you have a folder set for your textures (it defaults to sourceimages). Then it won't matter where you put the project it will load relative to the project folder. ie C:/something/something/mayaproject/sourceimages will jwork just like…
Yatta ^-^! I finally fixed it! It seemed that my program made a copy of all the vital files & folders, moved them to an exact copy (except the folders now had (2) at the end) So, by hockign some of the files, editing other, & crossing my fingers....It finally works! Thanks you guys for all of your effort ^_^
You have to save the content packages in the content folder. Otherwise UDK won't find them next time you start it and says that you're referencing to external content (external as in out of the content folder). You can open external packages by clicking the "open external package" in the content browser. It's in the lower…
ant1fact, I had the same problem with SubstancePainter 2018.1.1. Installing SP 2018.2.1 helped me to fix it ( i just removed generator, that creates height and then create it again and it's fixed). Also try to sort your layers in folders, and put objects that creates height into one folder, and object's that shouldn't…
