For a homeless man, his clothes look like they're in pretty good shape. Make the clothing dirty and worn-out. Have his clothing tell a story about what kind of character he is. His shoes really stand out to me. They're too clean. It might be kinda neat if he had two different shoes. As if he started out with a matching…
First of : thanks for the comments and critics. I´ll try to mention them as I continue working on that model. tapan: I just had to google who randy couture actually is :-P maybe your association is the reason why you think, that it`s ment to be a badass soldier. Because actually it isn´t. ;-) He´s more the 1 of thousands…
The cloth and skin feel very real, I thought this was a ref-pic at first glance. Ur thumb's too short, tho. The bag does lack the worn-out look of the cloth, even from cloth-up. U'll need more color variation for realism and killing that pure silver-white stuff up-close.
looks fantastic. i doubt much critique of these props could be made they look flawlessly executed to me and very attractive designs. if something absolutely had to be said, maybe the table cloth is a bit too thick and the folds don't make perfect sense? But if a gamer made a critique like that of a game that was full of…
Work looks tight, but yeah, indie and smaller teams if you can are the go to, also look into what your "skill set" can also be applied towards, like fabricated works and not game specifically. 'clothing' ect. all the best with it. agree with ze.
You didn't listen to the critique given already. Stop adding detail, step back to a lower poly and get those forms to flow like a Disney character model. Likewise, the same for the clothes. The clothes you've thrown on don't hide the blobby forms underneath, and the clothes themselves are just as blobby.
@Jakub: Thanks, glad you like it! @Brian Panda Choi: Yes you are correct, I didn't use extrusion for the clothing. If there is an inner part of the clothing exposed (i.e. the inner part of the collar), that is done with retoplogy all in one go. Usually the inner parts of the clothing are less detailed in the wireframe.
Me and cloth are not such good friends, so i'm getting everything thats not cloth done before i come back to it. If i cant mentaly see the folds and wrinkles, i cant draw it. This only leaves me with the rest of the gun and the boots...so soon i'll be back in the evil cloth.
Here is an update. I changed shoe, because they didn't fit in my opinion, updated other cloth, fixed shapes and proportions. Also I worked with a cloth design a bit Here is a color variation to emphasize the value of the lines on the sculpt. I'm planning different materials for different layers of the cloth:
I think the issue is that many job positings don't go into specifics of what the task actually is or give a very general list of responsibilities. For example a character artist position at Electronic arts can involve every possible responsibility, or be more specific in its requirements (Character Artist EA create vs…
