Good luck man. Check out UDON comic reps if you can. I think they'll like your style. And if you haven't already, there's a bunch of tips online as to how to approach ADs at conventions. Basically, unless you have smart questions to ask just shut up and let them do the talking while they check your art.
You would have to re-import them, but it's easy enough. An aside from the engine talk, I have a crit for the geo :) I think in these shots your floor strikes me as far to flat. There's alot of texture detail, but no height definition. I think just lowering the floor an inch below the metal trim around the room would help…
DT keeps on making 'Introduction' or 'Basics' tutorials all the time, which kinda irks me. I do understand if they make a basics video for software like ZB, which adds major changed every couple of decades, but giving me constant Basics video for software like Max or Mudbox every year there is a new update? Talk about…
Now now, I've seen some really amazing mouse drawn artwork in my days that rival a vast majority of people's stuff here on Polycount, so let's not talk down on the mighty mouse too much :) As for this thread, I'm sorry but I still can't take it seriously. I feel like I'm having my leg yanked right off.
Morning fellas! That solution you're talking about Eric is something we were going to do at 38, essentially, make a custom camera rig that would shoot 4 individual shots that would allow us to KEEP our post process but also have a large hi-res image. I'll mess with that and let you know what I find.
@Sinking 1) regarding the smooth UVs tool, I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing, but there's a toggle option there for the tool (pin borders if I remember correctly) so that the Shell border will/will not be affected by the smoothing. Both are useful for me. Seems to me you've loosened up and are starting to…
Show threads breaking and put a snickers bar in the hand. Id say it depends on Arenanet really. Obviously nailing that fat model would show them you are good at what you do, but they also might like your sense of humor and would enjoy your spirit in the office, and everyone would talk about your submission and youd make…
How do you go about importing the textures and slapping them onto the landscape in UDK? I have no idea what I'm doing and none of the tutorials I can find talk about that. I've made everything else as the tutorial says. I've got the landscape into UDK I just don't have any materials on it. Thanks again for the tutorials. :)
Thanks OtrickP! and yeah I get that he was talking about the space and I know where I went wrong, and I get what your saying about the scale of the UV's and packing it all in, im sorry if im a bit slow, ive been doing this for two years so im reasonably new, thanks for the criticism it will help me a lot! :D
In my honest opinion, drop all text, everything! Your work should do the talking. Aim for having it to take max 1 click for the visitor to get to the actual work samples. Since you're using a popup image browser you might as well put thumbnails for all images on just one page and sort them after projects or what ever.
