@Ashervisalis Thanks a lot! @pixelpatron Thanks for the feedback, I definitely agree with you. The links you posted are super helpful, the grass looks very nice in Spyro and I see that my version could use a lot more work. Cheers!
So first off you need to bring down your scope. No one starts out professionally doing those 4 things. Pick one, maybe 2 if they are complimentary to each other. Your skills and interests do not align currently, what do you want to do. You will be doing it 8 hrs+ a day, every work day, for years. Make sure you actually…
@PixelMasher as of right now only like 2 people have gotten hired in 2020 and neither of them were character artist. I think that a good pin for sure but it doesn't really answer the question.
@pixelpatron Thanks so much for the feedback! It is feeling a little bland. I will try to add more variation to the textures, as well as work on my lighting. Hmmm looking at those references, maybe I could break up the building height to have more variation. You have given me lots to think about. Thanks for taking some…

Really appreciate it! :) I have only been focusing on the Gadget-Bot Production concept art reference for getting the right style on my environment. I do agree with what you are saying when you stated 'interior seems really cramped and the ceilings appear to…

Think I'd have to be careful with it though, could maybe put it around the edges :) But sort of want to avoid too much white and light otherwise it'll look super sterile, which I guess makes sense for a lab but I don't think it gives me a lot of options to play with…
If it for a game? How big will it be? What platform? On youtube look up Warren Marshall and also polycounts own @PixelMasher for tutorials showing the basics of video game environment art. Beyond that only very general critiques can be made such as: you have many edges which, if deleted, would not effect the silhouette. So…
you area really getting my mind. that's exactly the effect that i was trying to create with this lighting I'll try to mix between your refs and pixelpatron refs and i hope to come up with some thing nice thanks again
