Neox: Good work man! Generally, I like the face and the character as a whole. Anatomy is good, period. Although I find the slant on her eyes maybe a bit too much; and the hair's gonna need some more work to really sell it imho. I do like e-freak's suggestion on the shoulders. But I would use the feather cape to your…
Hey everyone! So I've been pretty busy since the last post. Designing the clothing in MD has taken a lot of my time. I believe that I have finally finished! I took as many pictures as I could, and tried to make them useful. So for starters I needed to make the pants length shorter, so that they would not interfere with his…
Gorkamorka is my main inspiration, loved the game. I'm doing gork and mork team colour variants. So @whats_true no red paint job I'm afraid, but I'll see how I crack on with the gork and mork themes and might add some 40k paint variants for some more colour. Cheers for all the comments, I'll share some of the techy bits if…
Hey guys! I'm currently working on my character at the moment, and I need some advice on cloth. I've never really sculpted cloth before and it's proving to be very, very difficult. Can anyone offer me any tips as far as cloth goes? Here's the concept I'm working off of:
Can't wait to see your tutorial on clothing with Marvelous Designer ! :D Is there any complex geometry under the clothes,or are you just blocking some shapes to have let the clothes "fit" on them ?
Thank you!. No magic about the cloth, unfortunately. I tried to fix it first, but ended up with the decision to make the new cloth in MD. So the cloth in 90% from MD and 10% of Zbrush cleaning.
Nice rock Strkl. From me, a completed piece. 13.5K tris, with separate UVS for clothing so I can do some clothing changes. Clothing is split up, but all-together the maps equal less than a 4096 map.
Also it would help to get photo reference of cloth that's hung in a similar way to the arrangement you're trying to create there. How exactly is your cloth attached to your cart? The folds and creases would be directly related to this. For cloth, photo reference is key!
[ QUOTE ] Thanks for the tips so far. This is exactly the kind of help I was hoping to get. This is my first character model I've made; mostly I work with weapons and things. I'm going to school as an artist, but I haven't had any life drawing classes yet, but I'm signing up for one today (I can register for classes next…
Hi, little WIP on outfits :) I'm making only these two since others shares more or less the same visual language and features The workflow was fairly simple : start from low poly+creases with dynamic subdiv on. Apply subdivs only if manual sculpt is necessary to bring details (mostly on cloth wrinkles). Then for lowpoly I…
