I have one of those and it's great for working, but don't bother with the one with speakers. They're terrible, and it flickers badly when I hook my PS3 on them. I had to put a fan behind the monitor to keep it from flickering. Really good otherwise
Hey @Fabi_G, I found a fix to the foliage flickering issue. I also noticed that this was happening to instanced static meshes. I do not understand why but it was a checkbox in the project settings: I found out through this thread:…
Ye i thought the opinion on the flickering would be divided. I tried to imitate and drawn animation styles like "Rhubarb and Custard" and "The Snowman". I think i might use both types of animation in the final project. With the flickering style for more tense or exiting moments.
if the flickering is caused by the texture then eliptical filtering(on your texture obviously) is a good way of reducing flicker. if hdr is the problem then blurring the hdr (a lot) and also reducing the actual resoloution of the file helps and, usually doesn't affect the look of your scene as you would think. if it's a…
In 3dsMax that uses Nitrous viewport there is no flickering. In 3dsMax 2009 the flickering is constant. The problem is in 3dsMax. You can't overcome it. About the code: thiso.mesh.numfaces creates copy(in the memory) of the object each time when it is executed. In the same loop it is used twice. The same is valid for every…
Flickering shadows, polygon errors and so on means your video RAM is so hot that data corruption occurs (VERY bad!). I've had that happen pretty often on hot days with my Radeon 8500, black polygons would start to flicker over the scene, few seconds later the whole system froze. Do whatever you can to make it run cooler.
