We're currently livestreaming again! Aside from that, I've been working on a little trailer to show you all in a few days :) In other news, Thomas our level designer has posted a little behind the scene shot on the official TOB news blog: http://www.tobgame.com/blog/?p=53
Some nice work man! Any inspiration from http://marekdenko.net/?page_id=53 ? The effects and camera angles seem like too much. They are overshadowing the model itself. If you want to pull that off just do a 3/4 shot with a slow push in. And maybe rotate around just slightly.
https://youtu.be/IwbbMFXr_rA?t=113 @ 1:53 if it doesn't work other wise there was a much better one i say just yesterday and for-whatever reason the video of down, it was really good. This will have to do for now, i don't own a dog, its just those moments are pretty neat.

@polymath256 Just to be sure, are you setting the model to unlit? Vertex colors multiplied over an existing lighting/shading model can be quite dark. Here's a video from an old Playstation Underground disc that shows how they applied vertex colors to light scenes in Tomb Raider 3 (starting at 3:53):…
I would also recommend watching some of Feng Zhu's stuff especially these episodes: 53, 52, 38, 37, 20 and 19 I think it could answer a lot of questions you have and give you a good direction on the type of things you should probably do. http://www.fengzhudesign.com/tutorials.htm
I can't actually help with this issue unfortunately (as I never use the send to photoshop projection) but can suggest that you go to the 3dCoat site and ask there. Lots of knowledgeable people & the developer Andrew himself might answer your question. http://3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?&showforum=53 good luck
Very excited. Zack Snyder is great. And Christopher Nolan? How can this be bad? Only thing I'm worried about is what appears to be skyscrapers falling down and civilians running around (1:53) , and that cool spaceship thing (1:51). Just feels like I'm watching clips from Transformers 3 or the Avengers.
Another question I had for you more adept Maya users than I... what is the best Angle of View to use in Maya? I used the default 53 or whatever the Maya camera has and it looked very awkward and warped for me. I sculpt with it set to 28 in Zbrush. Does anyone have any recommendations?
