Hey folks, So after a good reception for my Batch OBJ Tools for 3ds Max, I sat down today and wrote one for Maya too. I'm happy to present mopMultiObjTool script for Maya! You can download mopMultiObjTool.mel here, or by right-clicking on the screenshot and choosing "Save Link As": This one has a slightly different feature…
Mmm, is max installed to another folder other than the default? (Even tho in theory it shouldnt matter, the bat should search for it) Anyway, you can just copy it by hand, just put the CryArtistTools.ms file in the "..\3ds Max 20xx\Scripts\" folder.
It does not appear to work, I've put them in the root folder as well as the bin folder and I still have the slow uv selection issue. I will be rolling back my drivers as usual once I'm done playing Deus Ex.
yes, look in the folder max is installed there is a folder called autoback, thats where you files are, there are only 3 by default tho, so if you have been working since your loss, then the autoback files are of what you are working on currently.
Ive started to make a new dir every week for project models Im working on and date it, so there isnt a huge load of incremental files all lumped in one folder, just a nice easy to browse folder with the various weeks changes

Upon toggling to a four pane view, you discover that ALL four…
How do i remove them? I didn't copy and paste them into a fonts folder, C:\ because I couldnt find it I dragged and dropped them into the fonts folder in the control panel. i dont think i can remove them........??
no, it can run both 64 bit and 32 bit applications, that's why you have two program files folders. Program Files (x86) is where your 32 bit applications live while 64 bit ones are in the standard Program Files folder.
Re-mapping the user folder will save precious disk space (documents, downloads, pictures, video, etc). All you do is right click and choose where you want it to be. If you don`t use those folders, then doesn`t matter. They will be empty.
how do people get their models into the alien swarm sdk/ SFM for previews? i tried to drag my mdl and bits from the test folders into my root folder but i'm getting errors. edit: just realised this was the monthly thread. wooooops.
