Hey thanks for the input guys it really helps every word of it! Frell - Yeah, I've had my tablet for a year now... and well, this is my first try at something. I'm just lazy, I dunno good thing is that it has passed and I'm starting up again, getting on the internet making my presence known. RJBonner - Thanks man, I've…
Joeriv, thankyou! Excellent critique. Some thoughts: I definitely will take some screenshots from different angles. The examples you gave are a customisation of the crossbow called a 6-pack riser; it has two extra wheels so the bowstring doesn't cross the center line. This is apparently so broader boltheads can be fired.…
i did call it my pompous movie list of 2006, didn't i? honestly, i don't need any entreaties to stick with Pan's Labyrinth; i feel just about the same as when i came out of the theater, which is to say mostly undecided. it's definitely one of the better films by far of last year, and i think it will age quite well. there…
Thanks for the Feedback, Teodar. Regarding the roofs and the intersecting Geo, There will be a lot of "Thatch alphas" that will be placed on them to add variation, make them more lush and such. The texture currently on them is what is there for underneath so when you see through the alphas you'll still be seeing a thatch…
I'll definitely look into that :) keep in mind that this process is pretty much like a boolean (tho i don't use boolean), not that it f*cks up your topo (it doesn't, really) but that your history is gonna be doomed, because we just combined two pieces of geometry. There's a lot of things that i would like to add to this,…

Try finding a celebrity or model or two you think looks like the character you're trying to make and really pay attention to the…
@metalliandy Thanks for a quick response! For now, here are the meshes I've used: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zd93478qb3mhmpo/knald_test_01.fbx?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/5d0u8qbt9zz9zay/knald_test_05.fbx?dl=0 So, if I understand you correctly, "Mesh AO" mode in Knald 1.0 worked in a very similar way to the new "Baker"…
Where do you draw the line on whether or not an object is too small to sculpt on and would receive no benefit from having the high poly bake to the low poly? Could it be that it is always recommended to create a high poly sculpt for anything that would utilize a normal map? IE A Mug, In skyrim you see reflective mugs that…
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/rlnWPL Hi! I finished this project two weeks ago and would love to get some feedback on what I could improve. I tried to show that I'm familiar with the modularity and Substance Designer.
