digitaltutors.com was where I jumpstarted myself learning 3D and 3dsmax. They're very nice for beginner lessons, though if I recall they get a bit wordy/long. -

Don't worry, I did my reading and watching quite a while ago. I don;'t think you could dig up much about Rage tech that I haven't seen already :) I never said they did not compress, I said they didn't downsize (except for distant background elements). What you can hope for with a dedicated PC release is - less compression… -

Is there a tutorial that shows baking the AO into Vertex Color in Maya? I looked at the Wiki but it had a link to a digitaltutor site that wasn't working for me. I've only used Batch Bake to generate an Occlusion Map for use in Photoshop. -

Your digitigrade legs are looking a little awkward. If you rotate the thigh forwards a bit and adjust the calf and tarsus accordingly, it should work better. -
