sir suppose I'm creating a button for Lambert and changing the command ( you've provided) it is automatically changing the command of Blinn material also. see my whole script the last one. at last after running the command both materials are working as a Lambert. PLEASE DONT MIND I'M SUPER NOOB.
I downloaded that new service pack and unfortunately didn't change anything. I'm also getting this max script dialog to open by default every time I open Max. I'm just going to download 2014 and be done with it. 2012 has been frustrating.
Hey Guys, Are there any examples/tutorials out there to set up simple context dependent hotkeys in maya, based on selection type and selection count for example if faces are selected execute selectadjacentface.mel, or selectadjacentvertex.mel for vertex selection, etc?
so say i got a object made of a shit ton of objects, and i want to delete all the polys that are on the inside of the object that can not been seen, i dont need the mesh to be seamless or anything. just all polys that are completely hidden inside the mesh selected so i can delete them,, anyone know of somethin like that?

Wings3d has it as well. In Wings you can transform according to any vector/direction that is indicated with the geometry and a few more. I've been looking for something like this in max for ages. There's only kind of edge straighen scripts nothing thats as good as that.
