@ pyrzern spec is for the gloss and gloss is for the reflectivity right? i did not dig myself enough into those kinds of maps yet so i mix it all up and if something its shiny i tend to think of glossiness :s @lukazguzman i think with just some variations in the spec values your model would benefit very very much. now so… -

What does spec map look like? Wood is not really reading as spec with the color it's reflecting right now (i'm assuming it's a wooden chest?) and the metal could have a brighter spec imo. Insets not reading like insets right now, I would increase the AO strength in those areas or add some dirt or something to push it back… -

also i think you spec map is a bit off, that you render with it having no spec other than at the edges. this could make it look like maybe painted metal thats had the edges scrapped off. Spec maps from zbrush dont really work because of the way the lightng works you would have to set up a light rig to get a good one.… -

Its a start man :P When it comes to metal though, diffuse will be a very dark, deep color depending on what material you are trying to make.
