This is a free texture from here: https://3dtextures.me/2018/10/04/sapphire-001/ Basically, I'm curious how this is rendered properly with height and depth to the render. Obviously if this texture is added to a sphere it will simply be flat. Is adding a bump map the correct way to do this?
Did anyone happen to go along to this? Its the first I've hard of arts exhibitions at E3. Looks like it'd be well worth a look if I ever manage to find my way to the expo. http://www.intothepixel.com/view-art.php?year=2006
After the precious advice from Tor Frick the columns is from now made of 9818 triangles (instead of 50 000 about ^^,) and its shape is not that much changed :D Whatch it in 3D with Verold:: http://goo.gl/aT3EOB
Maybe http://www.xboxic.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/03/GRAW-3.jpg or http://andy.gamerscircle.org/images/GRAW_PC_SP_064.jpg (the two version of graw, gr3) ? gr1's hud was ugly, yes, but it was out of the way.
how about getting some of these http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/input/008/usbfootswitch_detail.html Bad luck breaking you hand. Every time I've done it it's not stopped me from typing, must be really frustrating.
i don't know... i actually prefer console aiming. lots better at it than with the mouse and keyboard. 007... only way to play was no radar and one-shot kills. that gets you aiming pretty well. heh.

I'm working on a high poly model of a Jumo 004 jet engine. It's an early jet engine that was used on Me262's. Aside from the cylinders, it's filled with many 'unique' shapes and is making for a fun exercise. This is a work in progress, I'll post as more is completed. And this one of the references:
Awesome! Those renders look like a scene from World in Conflict. :) http://pcmedia.gamespy.com/pc/image/article/779/779951/world-in-conflict-20070411062142759-000.jpg or more specifically the X-Mas map:
http://meimi132.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/viva-pinata-e3-2006-pic14.jpg very cool work, you could comsider turning off shadow/ao casting of the rug, the black destroys it a bit.
