Seen a few of the sites cartoons before, but this one takes the cake! I was in stitches. http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0046/0046_01.asp (Yes, this site IS serious)
Thank you BagelHero. I appreciate the thorough responses and the time you put in to write these up. Thanks to you I feel a lot more positive now. I think I will dedicate a few weeks to revamping some of my older pieces and of course remove, rearrange and group some stuff together for a hopefully more attractive-looking…
I'v seen this people doing the "thank you for your post" one and a few others. There are some security scripts out that there are quite useful that are not being used on Polycount if you click view source. Captcha code is totally useless, its so out dated and exploited that having it on your site just attracts scummy spam…
Hello! You're right, Kindred is such a mystical champ :) I like the comp, i may have offset the hero a bit personally. I think u should lessen the yellow a bit, it's kinda too bright right now and my eyes are directly attracted by it. Settings the values in grayscale may help to enhance the focus where you want it to be.
Woah lots of ideas, good luck with this I'm sure it'll be fantastic. My only suggestion would be not making it too noisy design wise. Like your mood boards already. Well... I mean, of course with a mood board full of attractive Asian women. But the robots stuff will be cool to see you do too. Good luck.
I've begun (this week so nothing to report yet) researching this myself from a public policy perspective (centering on the USA market and how to make it more attractive to new market entrants). Might be quite some time before I have anything to report as it is a side project. But if (when) I do, I will make sure to include…
Doc brings up an interesting point. While i don't find Modo indie attractive for game development, it is probably a good fit for designers and concept artists, and maybe even product renders. Whether or not it is a failed product really depends on what you intend to use it for. And indie, just like it's bigger brother, is…
I agree with Keven. Also, the mirror (I assume they're mirrors?) facing us isn't reflecting anything. It's this big solid grey area that attracts the eye. It's been bugging me, lol This came out amazing though, really awesome work! I like that you flipped the composition back and toned down the light coming from the corner.
Usually people tend to go with resellers because they offer some rather attractive options. I am based in Toronto so I got mine from reflexnotebooks because that way I didn't have to pay any kind of brokerage fees. Some resellers like xoticpc offer some more customization options(if you live in the states that is).
@badcog looks nice! My only criticism would be the top of the golden handle - I feel that if the handle were to be that 'rich' that it would be gilded or crafted into a piece more attractive. The form of the handle reads as if it should be stone, but because it's shaded golden, it has the appearance of raw gold. But maybe…
