I've been working further on this today. here's a quick projection test with keyshot after posing her. And these are my latest wip shots. Blocking in some more shapes. My tiles are neither pentagonal nor hexagonal, but triangular. Hexagonal tilesets would require so many permutations for all the transitions that I don't even wanna think about it. All but one entry has submitted from the original bunch. However they haven't posted their finals in their WIP thread either. I've contacted the two artists letting them know, but nothing so far unfortunately. This little stuff up on my behalf ended up yeilding a few more submissions! So not a total loss really :P

Yeah the theme is Hero/Super Hero so they want it 8 high. This is the base mesh we take to Zbrush i'm working on atm and then the one I bake down onto after. It's still a WIP with alot more still needed. The neck was too thick because it wasn't shaped yet, it was just extruded up from the torso pretty much.
Some more progress on my panzer 38, finished the back and now i am working on the sides and minor detailing. Are the renders of the high poly good? I dont know if they are to glossy, or if the lighting is bad. I am trying to get better at presenting my high poly wips. They are rendered in Keyshot with a standard car paint…

This is going to be very cool, i dig your wip so far. As i can be a portfolio piece, i really encourage you to retopo the lower area. I know how boring this can sound, especially when you finish the retopo in your workflow. Even if you do zremesher everywhere, it can be worthy to think about it.
