i kinda like the lighting from post #130 more than the current one. it looked like fairly normal sunrise and stronger light gave the scene more depth. now the environment (especially the building) just looks more bland.

as far as i know the first source games had no specular just cubemaps, that faked specular.. HL2 Episode 1 or 2 was the first source game with phong shading, which they advertised as the new black ;) e: http://www.garry.tv/?p=121
Yes! Rockets, scientists, and witch doctors all came together to create the ultimate arcade stick. Unfortunatly their research came to an ubrupt end when some guy who claimed to be from a 'vault 101' decided to hit one of the rockets with a hammer.
Two "medium" size displays > one big size display. It's not that expensive: two 22" 1680*1050 screens set you back like 130-150 euro's each here, that's still cheaper than one 24 or 26" screen.
Yeah thanks for the link, I think I need to send this out to the f@#$tard designers I worked with because they missed Level Design 101 in school. This might be a little more helpful then me telling them this information with yelling and swearing.
