model This shopping cart is modeled for PC and console gaming. Currently it sits @ 1687 polys (3246 tris). Is the poly count too high, too low or just about right? UPDATE: It now sits at 1412 polys (3092 tris) and you no longer see those artifacts.
Not sure what size to go with. Embed display size is about 900 pixels wide. Lightbox is screen width. The larger we make it, the slower the downloads become. What max size do you people think is good? 1280? 1600? 1680? 1920?
Floating separted geo is fine; at best , you're looking at problem solving with the rigging. 168k polys is more likely than not to be used in a video game. There's a lot of polys you could be saving, like on the helmet and other non deforming objects.

If anyone wants to do lunch or dinner or drinking, give me a call 516-680-1603. I'll ask around for a place that can accomodate 25-30 people. Ask your concierges as well, odds are we'll need to move away from the convention strip.
I'm doing this Makarov PM for the Northern Ireland: 1983 project, which is an Indie game using the UDK base. Could you give me some critique on this please. I think I modeled the grip wrong, but oh well. Sights are probably wrong as well. Here are the images:
