Well for some reason the vray camera is making the image a little weird. Not sure why. BUT getting closer to the finished (or workable finished product) Im doing a high poly model to learn some different modeling techniques. I wont texture this because of the poly count and besides, before I even think about texturing I…
Thanks so much for answering! I'm in the process of trying to follow your steps and I found this tutorial (https://blog.turbosquid.com/2013/11/06/making-a-quad-sphere/) to help me with the subdivision of the cube into a spheroid (I've never done it before) and I got to step 3 which looks like what you have in your step 2.…
Another update, i'm in the process of trying to sculpt a barrel. I want it to look fairly stylized and was hoping i'd be able to achieve the same look I did in the 2nd picture I posted to this thread, however I got kind of lost along the way. My biggest annoyance is that I can't get the edge wear right on the crevices…
Hi Vasilesco, The concept looks cool. I see you already started with the props and textures. Are you done with the block out? what style are you going to follow Semi-realistic, Stylize or realistic? once the style is final then we can go with the proportions and everything. What I will suggest finish the block out first.…
Sounds like you want to do stylized Blizzard type art. I think the best software to learn is Maya, Zbrush, xnormal, and Photoshop. You could also use 3dsmax instead of maya or Mudbox instead of zbrush. There are various other programs you can use but learn these first. Pick something you want to model and model in Maya.…
I think the book and the altar looks great, but the scale looks way off for the rest of the scene. What I mean by that is that the runes on the big circle are big enough that someone would trip in the holes and hurt themselves. I would probably split up the outer circle in more smaller bricks as their size is a bit…
It very much is, this piece for instance by @Icore https://polycount.com/discussion/201001/cat-house-stylized#latest Excellent selection of a really innovative piece! Though I didn't find it from the front page, was just browsing through the 3D Art showcase offering feedback/appreciation. The "cat" aspect was an influence…
\ I made this stylized piece based off of the musculture of "Baki the Grappler" it is called "Omni" I created this piece in photoshop. She is a character I made up named Sheila. In this image she is using her sorcery to pull up parts of the earth out of of rage. Sheia flying in to attack. This was my character and object…
If you learn the fundamentals of painting, you basically can paint anything. It's sort of like the difference between memorizing what two numbers add up to versus actually learning how to add two numbers together. If you understand how to paint light, it's fundamentally the same if you're painting a realistic brick texture…
heres is some of the synopsis for my project: Drawing from Hindu and Buddhist mythology , 5th sense is a new take on the hack and slash genre fusing elements of puzzlers and tactical coop games with the fast pace nature of hack and slash. You play as 4 sisters, on a journey of betrayal, rediscovery and truth, searching for…
