Nice Neox! I like his shape except for the tail. I feel like it's too snake like. Whales/dolphins tend to have a lot of muscle/mass leading up to the actual flat part of the tail. It seems to me that without that muscle, he's not going to be able to flap it very well? Great shape overall though. . . My car gets dirty…
Looks great, man. Not sure if you are looking for any more critique, but I'll throw some opinions in. Overall, the scene reads nicely and I quite like the lighting. The grass planes seem a little too flat in my opinion. They seem like they are flat against the ground instead of growing upwards. Also, the colors of the jars…
Usually when it comes to anime style, the face is very flat. Not flat flat, but round flat ;P And the only thing protruding is the nose, usually in diamond shape with shorter bottom end.
So, I'm having a blast here learning and experimenting with so many new things. This is the current state of the scene: Since the last update I added the following: - Foreground rock(s). It's iterated three times but it's just one model. My first ever sculpted rock! - Stone path. This took me some time to figure out/chose…
Looks great overall. Biggest feedback I can give is that your roof feels flat because the tiles appear to be paper thin. I think if you added some bevel to the bottom of the tiles it may help. The drop shadow is very large and makes it appear that the tiles are floating high over the next row. On that note, maybe cut out a…
Good progress man. I would smooth out those wings slightly, they're coming across really flat. I would also add some highlights to the texture where the seams are to make them pop, as well as some shadows to sell the folds/curvature in the flags. They're coming off a little like paper, rather than cloth. Keep up the good…
I finally got a chance to work on my Dr. Mc ninja SDK model, Im trying to keep a strict budget so heres the model so far, please fire away all flaws before I make the hands/ sword and such also question his hearing thing around his neck (see photo) should that be painted on to the body or be a seporate layer of polys (flat…
For most materials, this makes sense. But gemstones are better done as pure geometry, since refraction and dispersion are essential. Why would you want to make a flat gemstone material?
