Thanks a lot for posting it, there is a lot of great concept stuff on there to draw from. Also I darkened the shadows a bit. Just added a power of (set to 5) between the constant clamp and the divide in the lighting setup. Gives me a lot more control over the shadow darkness Will try and find some time to fix the shotgun…
Bah, I never update this. Been busy with crunch, and now am on vacation. Here's a few traditional doodles form my sketchbook. Just playing with shapes and having fun with an ultra fine point sharpie. Overall, loving drawing again. For the longest time I wanted to do concept art but talked myself out of it due to the…
Thanks @MujtabaYousuf , so glad you like my work. About the retopology, a good idea would be to plan the flows of your polygons by drawing them on a few renders before doing the retopology, the rest of my workflow is pretty straightforward. i'm just using the standard tools of 3dsMax . Mostly Step Build, Extend and the…
Yes I have some of step by step in 2 post but is not super details more like overview If its too vague I can give you some specifics in the middle http://polycount.com/discussion/comment/2609621#Comment_2609621 last image http://polycount.com/discussion/200681/learn-to-see-basic-drawing-and-warm-up-exercises#latest
I like your color palette and overall shapes. I feel like the flat pieces on the wall sections are a little too flat - there's not much there to draw the eye. Also, I think the grunge in your texture could do with some tweaking; it always pays to think about the story behind a surface, and what sort of wear its received.
Great to see your study here! For the Rock/Cliff study, I think it will be great to include some rim light in the dark area. Right now the shadow side looks too dull and flat. Adding a secondary light will make it richer and more dynamic to look at. :) The male figure line drawing is looking great, keep up the good work.
It all depends on the renderer and the wider context it's used in. Adding draw calls is probably more costly than a couple of hundred tris so adding material and breaking any batching that might be going on probably isn't the best idea. If you have a render programmer, ask them. if not I'd suggest you just go with geometry…
Hey, it's clear you're just starting out, so I commend you for trying to complete your projects. That said, there is a lot that needs to be worked on with both of the models and materials. What kind of criticism are you looking for? Did you work from any concept drawings? What is the intended use of these? How did you…
Don't shine a light on the front of it and eat somewhere else. This should limit the frequency that you have to clean it. Keep it as vertical as possible. This limits the amount of dust that falls on it. I often use an easel for drawing so I'm used to keeping it basically 100% vertical 100% of the time. When you do clean…
Add clavicle to simplified drawing I think will help you to see where is the main problem Also check your legs , knee(patella) and foot should point in similar directions on a standing leg + left leg is missing sartorius/gracilis inner knee bulge When in doubted take the pose yourself , could use mirror too
