I would use Notepad or Notepad++ for editing documents like that - not WordPad or Excel. There's a chance that they will embed useless data in the *.XML that can really mess with how DDO and NDO read the files. What version of Photoshop are you using? If you're on 2015.5, I suggest grabbing the pinned update in the Quixel…
Use centimeter. One Unreal Unit is equal to one centimeter. You could also use meters and translate the decimals in your head; I believe setting units to CM causes one grid block to equal one CM, which is crap. Having each block be equal to 100 units I think is generally more useful. Especially when making anything…

Believe it or not, it's time for our next round - I've begun the new voting thread here - so drop by and cast your vote, or bring new submissions to the table. Keep working hard to finish through the week and…
hey guys! Just posting an update. I have been messing with UE4 and the post production features of the camera. I dont know if its just me but i believe the scene seems way too bright. I have made some adjustments to the car, i did not add a rocket bunny body kit however i did adjust the tires to look more fitting.

I've seen that video. I'm excited about those features. But in general I'm trying to figure out what maps are used in modern games. For example in Skyrim, there are no shadow maps or depth maps. Just a diffuse, normal and a mask. Skyrim came out in 2011 I believe. Do I even need a specular map or is the normal map supposed…
I think doing smaller daily and weekly sculpts is a great idea since it allows for more methods and workflows to be treated. In general I believe studying is most effective when one learns the easier techniques behind complex objects rather then diving in without knowing what you are doing and why you are doing it. Why not…
Thanks, will definitly look at some other examples. I don't like the metal parts myself, especially the darker metal. And yes, my lighting setup in UE sucks... I put the texture to 3Do and it looks muuuuch better: But I will definitly take another go on the dark metal parts. Anyone has some good tutorials/tips for creating…
" Lovely! Terrific to see somebody else working on projects for younger people... This niche can be so fun and imaginative! ... and so rewarding if you manage to survive the tricky tight-rope between fun and educational! " Bleetz commented more ... I don´t believe this is educational...kkkk toyart are crip and funny things…
Long time no post, sorry about the delay, I have been moving house but now im all settled and back to sculpting! Heres my progress: Reworked the trousers to make them a bit more puffy and believable but im still struggling a little. I have also reworked the forearms some to try and make the anatomy a bit more realistic!…
