[ QUOTE ] dude seriously I can pay for 2 months of rent with what they make in an HOUR [/ QUOTE ] They don't work 40 hrs a week. Not even close. And that hourly pay is gross, that means: -no benifits -still have to pay taxes on that The avg voice actor for games doesn't even get 1 gig a week from what I know of it. -R -R
Just a heads up. We have an in house rule. You're only allowed to wear lumber jack shirt if you sport a massive beard. Women included. HR do have a basket of spare false beards for visitors unaware of the rule, so you should be fine! (Dont pick the ginger beard, its a bit smelly) Good luck! :D
me and a bud just had a massive battle with 3 other posses over a town for like an hr. the best part was when a 4 man posse was holed up in a church and he lobbed some dynamite in through the window, massive explosion, all dead. I really wish you could play poker with your buds though, that would be awesome.
@Sukotto: Thanks for the tips. Just a quick question since I'm getting mixed messages on that. My career development guy said that stuff like that was good from an HR perspective as it showed personality traits that they might be looking for in an employee. And does my reel take long to load for you? Its instant for me. Or…
When I was an EA employee I heard about the Syndicate reboot before Deus EX: HR was announced. I've heard it had a rocky history, I think Deus Ex saved the project from cancellation. I think there's a lot of people making assumptions about what working for a publisher owned studio is like without actually working for one.
ageless: Wow, thank you for the kind words. It means a lot :) acapulco: Thanks! I hope to model the robot soon Justin: Ha, well I kind of broke the streak these past few weeks. Noors: Get on it dude. It's the only way to get better. I was watching Ravenslayer's Rembrandt livestream and felt compelled to do something…
oups, not much updates from me for a while! 5 hr model. focus on learning the retop tool in 3dCoat. The polycount can probably be halved, and if wanting to animate, the eyes should be separated and the arms would need some reflow of the edges. but, just a fun little project to learn a new software.. ...... still wondering…
Since you consider going back to study more, it seems you're not in financial problem at the moment. Then it doesn't really matter much if you work or not. Do I understand this part right ? If so, you can get a part time job instead, so you have more time to put into improving your art. Maybe 4-5 hrs a day ?
I can't remember if this has been covered yet or not. Marmoset is crashing for me when I try to load a particular .tga file. What on earth could be going on with this? Edit. MY bad. It's a "non power of 2" error. I EPIC FAIL. I seriously worked on that for like 1 hr before posting. sorry for wasting your time. lol.
Not really there is a theory going around that it takes 10k hrs to master something. Google it, you'll also find articles blowing holes in that theory. Of course its less time to just learn something but there are a lot of people who have mastered the craft and have worked in the industry and are looking for work so just…
