The vertex blending can be kind of expensive, it requires verts wherever you plan to blend, you can save the tris/verts and use a simple B/W map as a mask. There are a few options and you don't ways need verts. But it depends on what app/engine you decide to do the final scene in as to what methods will probably work best.… -

Considering my 460GTX SLi setup is lacking a bit in Vram and overall performance, i think iam going to go with the 970GTX, looks like a massive Performance / Price deal. In Benches it could blow the titan (the old one) as well as a 780GTX out the water. Only the Ti and the double GPU models are stronger...so yeah gonna be… -

I don't have any experience with getting dual monitor output from a laptop, but what it really seems like you want is a workstation, in which case I would recommend not getting a laptop. Bear in mind the 860 in the Y50 is the mobile version, which is about as fast as a 465 or a 560 non-ti, a very good card for a laptop but… -
