Do you have a copy from before this conversion? It is safer to select all your verts and hit connect. Converting your geometry to patch may break things in unexpected ways. Also, make sure you don't have other UV channels with splits in them.
My problem is now that he dont want to merge Vertexes together. So the Smoothing dont looks nice at this point: I have selected the Vertexes and then clicked merge vertices. But he dont want to merge them correct hm... Here another picture of my workflow:
I'm not sur if this will work but if you haven't done this give it a go: Select the mesh and soften the normals for it(Normals>SoftenEdge), rebake. If that fixed it the vertex normals running along the loops that you cut the uv's where the seam is are not aligned. Softening the normals aligns the vertex normals of each…
Yeah, DxTory is good. It took me a bit to understand how it works, and getting the right codec selection, but once set, it seems to stay out of the way. I've heard a lot of people suggesting Afterburner lately. I haven't tried it, but I've heard it gives good results.
hey there, a quick crit I gots is that the stone appears too shiny and in general the material is too noisy ie. theres all these small tiny specs all over the entire model as opposed to you being selective to where you place and concentrate small bumpy detail
Marquee selection in max 2009 is slow and choppy. First version I've seen that done. I still work in 2008 because it pisses me off so much. Hopefully the evil powers that be at Autodesk aren't purposely crippling us geforce peeps with max now too...
I watched the videos on IMDB and I like it. You guys have a fun selection of classes and weapons. Especially liked the combo with the bird man and catapult bloke. You should continue to make combos between classes imo. Will create fun teamplay scenarios. Good Job!
Giving this a trial over the weeknd. Seems really nice as a painter but it has a few crippling limitations. * You cannot paint on or view a layer mask. * No pen selection tools * Hue/Saturation Filter not having a Colorize option. * Can't lock a layer There may be more but that was a quick test.
If you go under views>viewport configuration>Statistics. You can have it show both poly and tri count and make sure you tick Total+Selection. Don't know how to change the default behavior though on startup, would like to know that one myself
See the image: You can use Loft and twist to change the orientation of the spline. Add as many points as you want and start tweeking. Also, if I remember corectly you can add the same shape in the loft path in desired location and then select this shapes and rotate them. :)
