This is all done after converting to geometry. The first one is the uvs xgen gives you for spline meshes. The second looks like UVs from the distribution mesh - probably projected onto the hairs using transfer attributes(I don't think there's a way of carrying that through the geometry conversion but don't quote me on… -

I dunno man... On a decent enough set, 720p BluRay still looks nice. But I see where your coming from, I still buy DVD's 9 times out of 10 simply because the transfers arn't always needed. Its only the really good and really big films, like Dark Knight, I buy Blu. -

salvage what you can out of your old computer... chances are the case will be fine if you're short on money, transfer everything into your old case and reuse it. If you have a drill you can probably drill some vent holes in the side panel where they are needed over the pci cards. That's anywhere from 70-120 bucks saved… -

I still need a wacom, but I am not sure if I have 70$ to spare. What is that right now in Euros... 50? Are you somewhere in Europe? Because otherwise it might be also difficult to transfer the mony and shipping over the big pond is also expensive But seriously keep the wacon and get rid of the medion, those things suck!!!… -

Sounds interesting - if the speeds are up to much it might allow me to leave my pesky USB memory stick at home and just transfer my work between the office and home with this... the amount of work I have lost on those things over the years makes me cry just thinking about it :( I'll grab an account if theres any still… -

Like everyone said stayin school unless you are transfering to a better place or getting a decent paying job. Also Try and get an intern at a company either doing ads or cg. If you quit real life will get in the way of you making a reel and everything just get's harder especially if you have studen loans. Good luck. Alex
