Really great to see all your progress! - I wonder if it would be worthwhile (depending on how the UVs are mapped) if you could use a world position to offset the U/V direction of that granite texture? It is pretty noticeable of the same pattern repeated over and over. Might be worthwhile to do for variation. Or do another…
What style are you going for? Realistic? The normal map looks really off, how are you generating it? I found a quick example of what a normal map should look like http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CwEI9lo-ql8/TzeDqnsfxeI/AAAAAAAAAC0/aA_bKmJ3tGw/s1600/normaltest1.png If you arn't getting these kind of colorings its not going to…
@Daniel_Swing Thanks! I there is some gravel on the road but it might not show as strong maybe, I could test to lower to opacity of the road spline a little but I was going more for a densely packed dirt road something like below but with grass in the middle.…
Thanks Leotard! Glad you like it  And here's today's progress! Did the sculpting of the fur on most of the body and tomorrow I'll do the head. (aaaaand I just noticed the hand need a little bit more on the wrists...)
This is amazing work, truly impressive. Is it possible someone could answer a really DUMB question about workflow. Using this as an example. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6d907Ft-eKw/VGg8XUqM7aI/AAAAAAAAAZk/JMWyA1oboBk/s1600/6.0_draenei_arches.png I assume there is a low poly version of the mesh (the top left in this image),…
I think you are having some trouble with the fur because the shapes you have created are very uniform and repetitive. Fur tends to lay in un-even clumps. I suggest looking at reference images of fur while sculpting and focus on the overall mass/shape of the clumps of fur. Also examine the directionality of the fur growth.…
