nice work! +1 to increasing the lightmap res, especially of the carpet. the mesh receiving the shadows is always the one need to be examined. the shadows of the chair for example are really pixelated, and they are on the carpet.. so check that mesh settings :]
the skin color is very uniform and pinkish. For example the inner side of the arm should be lighter. The rest of the colors work pretty nice together. The metal and the leather are a bit too similar in tone for my taste.
head is right where my eyes go. looks kinda skinny.....the back part of peoples heads are a bit more bulbous to contain the brain. example.... http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/9286/headji.jpg
When you say in order, do you mean I go down the bakingKit option one by one, and i cant change the resolution ander I have set the output path for example?
Yeah, it would seem so but I'm using the old editor so long now that the depth of the material tree is burned into my brain! Here's an example of a shader tree I've worked with in the past in compact..... :)
Looking pretty good, except everything seems a bit too saturated. The gold belt buckle, for example, would probably work better with a fairly desaturated yellow for the diffuse and then a saturated, bright yellow for the spec.
you can actually try to make money from your exercises, for example you pudge's animation can easily be published at workshop as "taunt". And item sets with additional animations quite appreciated by community.
Make sure you triangulate your mesh when you export it to Painter and to other engines. If you don't, there is a chance Painter will not triangulate it the same way as Toolbag and Maya for example and you will see these distortions.
selling your own 3d work for example an indie game on steam, amazon, mobile device or fund on kickstarter after you've signed with the studio. You may or may not be able to sell tutorials either.
Well if you get more into the material editor then yes there is a way so that you can tile your masks or different textures independently. I don't have a node-example for you though but it is doable.
