Two ways to do this. First would be to bake in Maya via Transfer Maps, you can set the target and source, but can only bake one set at a time. With skypaint, you can open your cube map in Photoshop and paint anything over it. So you need to render your objects in the perspective you want, with the illumination you want and then paint over your cube map. But, maybe would be easier to create the scene in your 3D application and then render all images as Farfarer… -

Well, 272 - 256 is 16, a power of 2 difference. It isn't completely logical, but it is still (coiincidentally?) a power of two, syncing up with the texture plane and possibly the world grid.
