How deep is this water if it's on top of a floor? There are many tutorials out there for creating wet/puddle like surfaces. For a full body of water, why not treat it like if you were working with a lake or an ocean?
Solid so far. I love anything with bananas on it so I'll be watching :) One thing that I liked about the concept is that the dirt road leads into the ocean, are you going to keep that in yours?
Who needs bigfoot when you got this shit right here. Or for that matter any number of the strange life in the ocean. [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5ZQH2Uzpew&feature=related[/ame]
this is piss in the ocean compared to the fear-mongering shit they [the media in general] have pulled in the past still, lame as hell, but let's not forgot the flat out lie that was the "iran considers badges for jews" story.
So much time wasted writing up these huge posts... More text means more people will NOT stop to read it. Way to go, nice job drowning your points in oceans of text.
It had good atmosphere, albeit it was blatantly gamey, and the extended ending and escort mission ruined it. Your supposed to be able to go out into the open ocean, which might be interesting depending on how they've implemented it.
I wasnt able to find and exact material called"Autodesk Water" but i found one called Ocean, and with a little tweaking I was able to get some usable results, thank you :D
Erik. Is water creation part of environment artist's task? Would you be able to cover it? Rivers, runs, water falls, ocean, I've been so curious to know their creation technique. Thank you :)
This is pretty much the same as my sketchbook post but I feel this belongs in here too. I was an environment artist on Art Deco Ocean Liner team and these are some of the assets I made throughout the project:
I had a similar problem. But I think you could try to find tutorials for making ocean in UDK. UDK is powerful. You don't really need to make water from Maya to UDK.
