Thanks man! Hope you enjoy it. Currently working on a camouflage pack of equal proportions, ill probably post it here soon too. Edit: The noise pack is now also available on the Unity Store too. Watch out for the upcoming Camo Pack!
Yeah, 8 with Classic Shell. I liked Classic Shell enough that I installed it on my Windows 7 machines too. I prefer the Windows '98 style program menu. I don't have any problems with Unity and Max/Maya.
i dont want to go to far away for now with game engines in unity or ue because im more a 2d concept artists, illustrator and some 3d basics as a sculptor, so i just wonder if there is a method to make the lava in zbrush or maya,
SubDivision surfaces become triangles in most render engines; if you are strictly talking about Unity or Unreal; I'm unfamiliar with those. Although unless you are creating still, even then I would suggest quad, nGons simply can cause problems.
-whats the resolution of your splat map ? if its 2048 bare in mind the default import settings of your textures in unity are set to 1024 -could mipmapping be the issue ? (try turning it off) -texture compression ? (try turning it off) screenshot would help
That's something I noticed as well, I definitely should work on more complex scenes and start rendering in UE4 or Unity, I'll start working in one of them and post future work using one of the two. Thank you so much for the advice!
Friend of mine said I should post this. Its for a game I'm working on, its serving the purpose of the menu systems for the game. This is rendered in Unity 3D btw. Also, heres a working concept for the main menu: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/16345881/MenuTest.zip
Yes, I know about this. I had hope that there is a nice trick which allows you to use standard specular workflow without editing textures. It would be great to have option between pbr and standard method (like shaders in Unity 5)
I think the wood barrels and cannons room, along with the blacksmiths room, are the strongest of what you have so far. Just throw ALL your scenes into UDK / unity and try to light and render them in there. It'll be a better learning experience for you =)
It's really cool. NVIDIA's RTX cores are great for AI. I imagine that's where they'll make the most money, especially because of this. However I wonder how long it will be before Epic/Unity does something like this, or if they have a signed deal with NVIDIA.
