nice suggestions but you forgot one! any book by Hogarth I'd especially recommend [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Dynamic-Wrinkles-Drapery-Solutions-Practical/dp/0823015874/ref=la_B000APHOOK_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1349626046&sr=1-3]Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery[/ame]
Yeah, maybe Earthquake or someone. I agree, getting someone awesome to love your product could do wonders. And it would give you practical examples to show, too. Looks like an awesome tool though. Almost makes me wish I used max.
Real quick lower poly proxy for my animator friend to mess with. I know some of the geometry won't deform well, but at least he can get the proportions figured out. I had a hard time with retopoing the hands in Topogun. Gotta practice that I guess!
Well, the arcana will replace the real model. But not the armor itself. The arms will be changed to some real arms and the pants will also be changed.I just build the whole body for anatomy practice, and it will most likely be used in the promo video. And yeah, I'll go with the skine version, thanks for the critique man. :)
Thanks, Shrike. That's basically what I've been doing since I graduated, I've learned a hell of a lot in the last 6 months, practice and time definitely are what I need. Is there anything you recommend I spend time doing or working on based on previous characters?
Hey there, thanks! But I'm actually trying to get better at anatomy itself... just learning muscle basics and such. I've also been working on life drawing, but I wanted to practice it via sculpting, too. Just looking for specifics on how to improve this model itself, if that makes sense.
Thanks fro the quick reply's. I found the great thread of Blaisoid's guns and I will try to make one of those. I think it will be great ard surface practice. Also I never made one of those so it should be lots of learning with al the edge loops.
This bad boy is freeware and works pretty damn good IMO... takes a bit of practices to get it just right. The download link is for a whole filter package (on the right after clicking 'download') that you have to DL but those are surprisingly pretty cool too. http://www.redfieldplugins.com/filterSeamlessWorkshop.htm
Kind of reviving this thing rather than starting a new thingy. I've got some practice work for a friend, but he's a picky dastard. Anyone happen to have either a few good pointers or a link on working in Maya with a specific scale, such as Centimeters and Millimeters? Thanks in advance again.
