www.twitch.tv/chrisradsby I've started as well, usually daily gameplay of any game I find interesting and depending on my mood you'll see some Art being made in there as well :)
Chrisradsby: When you say combine the chunks in Maya then export as one model. Those chunks would have to use the same texture though? Otherwise it would have to be a multi-material object?
Thanks BrontoThunder and chrisradsby! I've seriously been staring at these so long i didnt even notice D: lol heres some layer adjustments to try and get things back on the track!
Id agree with chrisradsby. Overall it looks like you have noise "for the sake of noise" and not really in logical places. The corners of things would be more worn, the dirt would be buried more in to the cracks and such.
chrisradsby Wow, thank you, I really appreciate. Your paintover looks nice, and I will try to make my scene look nice as well :) Chillydog12345 Thank you, I will try this.
ok chrisradsby ill play around with the fov a little, also getting some problems with my lighting where they don't show up the same in game and in the editor. FOV 90 FOV 45
I agree with chrisradsby I think this small part of a scene can be cool, but now the colors and values blend to much together. you also got some nice stretching on the floor tiles ;)
Thanks Chrisradsby for the paintover suggestion; I couldn't agree more with your observation. I made the posteffect change, bumped the lava area lighting, and the emissive values on the lava shader. I like it better.
Awesome design on these, and very well executed! I especially love the Oleg character. chrisradsby brings up some good points that could help your female, other than that she's awesome too.
Wow I haven't posted anything in so long but here is what I'm working on currently. All part of my Legacy Project that I'm blogging about on Artstation https://www.artstation.com/chrisradsby/blog
