So what exactly is the indie version? is it just 801 with limits? or is it a separate build from 801? and lets say 901 comes out, does it get updated to 901 or does it just stay at 801?

I'm making a illustration for an art project with 151 brazilians artists recreating 151 pokemons. Had some problem with the polypainting, so i'm going to repaint everything inside photoshop or modo. EDIT: Don't know how to put the image on the post =\. And this is a staryu btw
901 is great. Granted I just had the trial of 801 before that. Yes every now and again 901 crashes. It really doesn't happen as often as everyone makes it out to be. Maya and 3DS Max crash at times too. It's not enough of a deterrent for me not to recommend MODO to somebody.

Ah, the "Advanced" mode is a new one - normal maps aren't implemented in that yet for 901 Indie. The "Advanced OpenGL" mode he mentions there has been renamed "Default" for 901.
Joshuag: Modo 801_SP4 its what we use at work. I havent gotten into 901 yet. Lots of cool stuff there but 801 gets the job done, so I'm in no rush to get 901.
