Hi everyone, I am looking to join a serious indie game dev team to gain experience and build a dedicated real-time portfolio. I am offering my skills for free. About Me I have over 20 years of professional experience across 3D generalist roles, architecture, product design, and motion graphics. However, I am currently…
Thanks MoP. I tried many different things in both Max and Z but Guruware's OBJ exporter was the only thing that worked. Here's my map and a render. For the map I used Z, blurred it a bit in Photoshop, then added a noise filter. Thanks ahead for the c&c.
Ah, those clips were made with the rig using the bone length axis set to Z. Create a new rig and set the axis to z and it should load. If you need to, you could then capture the animation on a different rig.
Hey guys. Just made this quick vid showing how to sample colours from concepts in Zbrush without having to use spotlight, the dreaded Z,C,Z combo. Hope you dig it. https://vimeo.com/211472221
XFormer 2.1.1 has been released. What's New - Fixed a redraw bug that temporary aligned the object to Z axis when clicking the Apply button or when dragging the confirmation dialog, and "Always Align to Z Axis" is checked.
Source uses Max Standard, X+ Y- Z+. They confuse it though by releasing source files with X+ Y+ Z+. I created a thread on the dev forum about it and I don't think they changed the released files at all.
Fixed. Old URLs will automatically redirect to the new ones. Make sure you're using real URLs. In the post you linked, the URLs were HTMLized, e.g. ...x&y=z when they should be ...x&y=z
Good so far, except maybe you;re using existing UVs? Need new flat-to-the-world UVs. Select the face model, add a UVW Map modifier, and set the Alignment to Z. May need to rotate it on Z axis, depends on the direction of your gradient map.
