Ok just to be clear "ShowMyGuiBox" is just a name for a function I made up. You'll need to write a function that draws your box to the gui with some of the built in functions as detailed in the unity documentation I listed.
Don't forget about Blender Game Engine, Unity, and Ogre3D, etc. You can get an entire game studio suite together for $0. What you really have to spend money on is hardware and wetware.
I had the same issues with a tiled floor on Unity. No matter what the .sbsar looked ultra crisp. Like it had no mipmap or something. It doesn't look like TB2's fault for me but more the .sbsar's.
Looks like an Ink or Toon shader would do the trick here, unfortunately i can't tell how to create them in Unity. But at least the names might help you to do some more research.
What research have you done so far? I'm tempted to google it just for kicks, but have you done this already? Have you dug around in Unreal docs, Unity docs, whitepapers, etc.?
I've been posting mostly in the 3D section. But I figured this is more of a animation thing Your browser does not support HTML5 video! https://i.imgur.com/zQsq88B.gifv Working on a combat melee FX pack for unity
If you want the briefcase to move in a particular way when attached, then add an extra bone linked to the hand bone, then use Unity to attach/unattach the briefcase to that bone. This is how most games do it, a "weapons" bone.

Thanks so much for explaining it so well!! I understand everything so much better now i really appreciate it. I just exported a baked animation to Unity and it worked out just fine!
looks great! Id really like to see how it runs on a mobile device, Im pretty sure those shaders will not function. Maybe in a few years when udk or unity mobile support matures more.
