Thanks guys for the feedback. The scale is also my thoughts. But to specifically answer a couple of things, the dent that I talked about turned out like nothing I wanted so I scraped it for further learning. Something I want to get back to, but once I've learned more. And there is a keypad because there are other objects…
I like the video, the area looks nice. It's commendable that you're taking this time to test and seek feedback. This will make your next projects improve greatly. The environment has a very video game look to it, that's not necessarily a bad thing unless you want a very realistic look. For the video, it could use more…
You make game art you want to test your art in game? Well a workstation will only let you do the first of those moderately well. Do you plan on doing any shader work? Workstations suck at displaying shaders in a real time viewport also. If you're doing animation you can forget about playing it in the viewport also. You'll…
I have a friend who has his set up like that - I originaly had Sallie Mae (evil bastards) but when I refinanced last year all the rules changed. Now, my monthly payment is like $200, but he interest is calculated quarterly, and then divided by the number of months in the quarter. So out of $200, like 180 is going to pure…

I didn't know it hit so close to home for you though :/ The one in Alabama is pretty fucked in the same way. Two of the victims were the Sheriff's wife and 18mo old daughter. Again, I thought this…
Try Edit Polygons>Normals>Set To Face. Then Edit Polygons>Normals>Soften/Harden and select the faces you want to be soft, type in 180 and hit apply. Then select the edges you want to be hard and type in 0 and hit apply. If you ever have any questions feel free to AIM me. I'd be more than happy to troubleshoot anything.
Might be the XForm. That fixes a lot of random things. I'll give it a shot on mine, and see if the problem goes away! This is what it's generating at the moment, after resetting XForms on both low and high mesh... it's doing the same thing exactly 180 degrees round the wheel, on the other side. Weird... So far I have…
Thanks, eventually aim to bring the count down to 1800-ish *wishful thinking*. Apparently all of my models look 'stiff', but I have no idea what to do about it (besides I don't really see the point, since the character won't have this pose when animated?).
