[ QUOTE ] kinda reminds me of BF2 [/ QUOTE ] No wonder, considering a lot of guys who worked on it are the creators of Desert Combat. I'll give the demo a shot this weekend as well. Looks nifty.
Yes, if anything UDK's lightmap creator is okay at best and seems to break a model up into an unnecessary amount of pieces. Making it in Max gives you 100% control and will create a nicer result.
Today began creation of the second clown. The first stage - pre-creating a character in Character Creator/ The second step - creating characters face in Mudbox: The third stage - modelling clothes in Blender
not sure if its possible but I think it would be great to get the player character creator made into a stand alone that people can download and fiddle with to help illustrate just how free it is.
Transferred some of the details back over to Character Creator. Still tweaking the look I want before I 'finalize' him. I am really getting into hand-painted textures.
I know its pathetic to be honest, Im close to pulling my pledge at this moment, the only updates we get are the creator answering questions in the comments. No structure whatsoever.. very disappointing..
Awesome stuff! Glad you found the video from the creator of Tales of Nalstone useful. I should also start looking into more modularity, as it seems to be the go-to-thing now-a-days.
Unless all the images are in the public domain, or you have permission from their creators, using such a mood board to promote a crowdfunding campaign is unambiguously illegal. Marketing still counts as commercial use.
I have once seen 8 heads rule but creator of tutorial did just say it and did nothing with it so I just skipped that. Turns out it is nice way to start.
I was sort of hoping to work at appeal (creators of outcast) but they went belly up while working on outcast 2 :/ so now belgium has got...what? one games company?
