Thanks guys! Your comments really made me feel more secure with the non-camo aproach. Really appreciate it. About the scale issue... You have no idea how much thinking I've made about that, but still I haven't come up with an idea that won't interfere too much with the original concept. Really stressing me out.. =/
All the combat built around card-based combat... so if you think of it as a more interactive card-game it might sit better. Hence the 750 skills, but you can only take 8 with you at a time. Its more about set up and execution than real-time twitching/attacking. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, though.
I've been in this particular rhubarb patch. I find going out and talking friends, getting into arguments in pubs with friends, talking to new friends and generally just interacting and attending as many friends meet ups as possible gets you out of depression fucking fast. Then you can bounce your ideas of non-existence etc…
Hi all, This will be my first post on Polycount. I am currently studying my second year of game art at AIE (Academy of Interactive Entertainment) and I've just started a personal humanoid character project inspired by games like Doom and Wolfenstein. Attached is the current blockout, I eagerly await whatever critique or…

@Deborah_Flannagan while we appreciate new members interacting with the community, we would prefer replies to be substantive, especially with a topic that's been stale awhile. Give insightful feedback; take the time to explain why.…
It really depends what kind of game your'e making and what the character needs to do and how it interacts with the world. In a lot of cases root driven animation is overkill. Maybe give us some more details on what you're trying to accomplish and we can help narrow down what might work best for your case
could just create the shape with a loft of 2 curves, cut it by hand with the interactive spilt tool. or draw out a rectangle with the right length and select the edge loop you want to curve, and use a tool like my curvyEdges script http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131990 or use the bend deformer, or use the…
You should add some more color interaction to the brick. Right now it feels too monotone. There is room to push the red hues and add some greens to it if you want to go a little off concept. Looks like you got the style of the brick correct with the addition of some nice shapes to the mix, very nice.
Alright, another quick update! Like I said, put the turret on hold and started on my den. I reworked my concept a bit and got it worked into a screenshot from their new interactive map. So enough with the concept stuff... I'll work the rest out as I go. :D Here's what I'm shooting for!
