I'm assuming you want this for game topology. If it's for high poly type stuff I would say lean on reference a lot if you're not all that familiar with the physics of clothing folds and just poly model with the flow/direction of the folds. I could be wrong but for game topology people typically match the flow just enough…
~ There's a guy who spent 18months of his personal time making a working functional Optimus Prime complete with animation video of it transforming: Check out the final video here: http://vimeo.com/23893991 And his progress thread here: http://www.maxforums.org/threads/attempting_difficult_impossible/0001.aspx The finished…
Very nice work :D Just found my old copy of the Games Workshop book 'The Gothic and Eldritch'. [ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gothic-Eldritch-Collected-Sketches-Goodwin/dp/1841541486[/ame] Have always loved their black and white imagery - their colour work is fantastic is well, however I feel that the black and white lets…
here is another attempt at a tut. this is off of Chris Holden's cement cover tut. I suck at zbrush so that is why it looks like the cement has gills instead of cracks but maybe one day I will get there. it has 184 tris and done with 1024x1024 diffuse, normal, and spec map…
Had some time to work on the Sci-Fi Girl, did the lowpoly, baked and started texturing (mainly base colours and AO so far, been learning Marmoset for the day). Also posed the character in Zbrush but I seem to be stuck with copying and pasting the UV's (they got lost), so unless I can find a solution I'll just create a…
I don't think that is necessarily the case. No instead of one position open you have two, do you start knocking on office doors and asking who wants that job? There might even be some legal requirements for having to post open positions for the public to see and not giving preferential treatment to "insiders". If the guy…
ocarian: thx man acapulco: thanks you!! Hey guys! Haven't posted in a while due to being an alternating combination of busy and lazy. Beginning now though I'm gonna try to be posting updates semi-regularly again. And is there a better way to start posting updates than by posting an update? Probably, but I can't think of…
cut and paste fails I'm afraid, the isortm give the correct results here. ( fn randomPtOnCone theta = ( h = cos theta; phi = 360.0 * random 0.0 1.0; z = h + ( 1 - h ) * random 0.0 1.0; sinT = sqrt (1 - z * z); [sinT * cos phi, sinT * sin phi, z]; ) fn compareInt i1 i2 values: = values[i1] - values[i2]; fn comparePoint3_Z…
