nope. We're dealing mostly with Unity and Unreal. The idea is to make use of existing knowledge and tools. Also, hiring people who have those skills is much easier.
looks interesting, but yeah unity free is realy a letdown. they could have offered pro for free for the challenge duration, like they have done so many times before.
I believe he means that you combine all of the pieces into one object when exporting for the game. Unity does not require you to keep all of the verts merged.
Installed it yesterday. Installed Xcode, unity, did a test build, and ran test build on my iPod. No problems. My wife noticed a difference in scroll bars. Meh.
Modular environment study in Unity Still stretched UV on an arch. Broken shadows. Chamfers almost everywhere. Wall texture in Substance Designer. All pieces. Reference study.
32 bit is what I commonly use for exporting heightmaps from World Machine to use in Unreal for a landscape or in Unity on terrain. It makes it look smoother and more accurate.
Small update... managed to get a bit of terrain going(used stuff from unity Assets), also +1 asset the deck chair... working on it... ideas/feedback welcome ;)
I would make two versions of the toon shader, one with alpha blending. Swap shaders at the start of the blend. Which engine is this? We have subforum for Unreal or Unity.
