You notice some of them their models can look distorted, perhaps thats not the right world, but cut from a specific mold locked into a certain style. You should definitely look at refs, you dont have to follow them exactly, but… -

Thanks Mop. I've sorta learned to pull in elements from around me and that aren't maybe in the view to make for a more interesting painting. I end up doing a page of thumbnails and pick the best one and sketch it quick. I keep trying to work faster and more abstract as I do it more. These are all on 11x16 inch or something… -

check your mapping on the wall. You've got bricks on the hidden side that are about an inch thick on these mini-scenes its the little mistakes that add up to one big mistake, so check every element and make sure it all ties together convincingly. you need to do this before worrying about textures and lighting, or it'll all… -

The knee and elbow areas. Right now you character has tube arms and legs, which will never deform on a low poly mesh correctly.
