Ive never played a videogame with whatsoever realistic melee combat in terms of tactics and physics. it's definitely a complex problem, i just wonder if they can pull it off!
Shepeiro's tut is done in ZBrush and Max, but should be easy to adapt to Mudbox. http://osart3d.wordpress.com/tutorial-creating-perfectly-tiling-meshes-in-zbrush-for-use-in-videogame-environments/
Oh yea good point. They both link back to the 2011 thread and they both shamelessly used images from that thread. https://polycount.com/discussion/92534/greentooth-sightings-in-videogames
Also, here is a link to my first demo. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjIW-natCzU&feature=share"]Mushroom House videogame work in progress - YouTube[/ame]
Railgun dude. First time I shot the dude between the eyes, and he went flying back and stuck to the wall.... jaw.. hit the floor. BEST gun ever in a videogame.
Is it the one with the VR, with the monkeys shooting giant birds? IMHO, it's the worst episodes of house I've seen, based on their cheesy interpretation of what VR or videogames are. Also: Needs moar Cuddy ;)
I'm positive that just modeling these for portfolio purposes is absolutely fine. There are a million Marvel characters out there in demo reels. It's throwing them into other videogames and the like that Marvel are so hot on.
