Where I could composite vector shapes with feathered edges and bitmap fill of albedo textures , then easily replace the fill with normal map or spec for export . Doing pixel grid snap , no sub-pixel blurring. And a spline/brush based scattering those bitmap filled shapes or deforming alternating stripes along the spline.…
From a test i did with Nickz_humanMaleAverage in the tools .ztl section i believe (just for reference to the gif) i made some changes to the .ztl file and added a new layer which added details to it and it seems it is possible to do what i said. The answer is Yes you can put it back into a t-pose after the edits are made.…
Thanks for the replies guys :) Here's some early progress from my sculpting adventure: There a lot of work in front of me; some parts are still looking a bit blobby and other are not even touched yet. But regardless, I'm fairly happy with the way it's progressing so far. MrBear: Haha, let's hope I will be able to replicate…
I've been doing some ZBrush tutorials lately, so as I am "replicating" what the tutorial is teaching me, am I stealing someone elses art work? No, I'm just replicating exactly what I see so that I get practice in a certain skill. Same thing dummyyou did. Why the drama? This is not an ideal welcoming ceremony for a brand…
Hey guys sorry for the lack of reply, GDC is pretty crazy at the moment. pior The install should have warned you that SP 1 would be uninstalled, it was the case on beta builds just a few days ago but it seems like something went wrong with the release build, we'll fix this issue asap and actually make SP2 install in its…
It's not that your sculpting is bad or anything. It's just that you're sculpting your idea of what bricks are rather than the bricks/slabs you see in the miniature. Look at their shape, how they vary. Try to replicate what you see, not what you think you see. Some of those slabs are nearly round, at least on the x/y plane.…
By chance I found some cool inspiration - a lighting art/audio-visual-interactive studio Nonotak, so I'm making a few fairly simple rooms (environment art wise) and trying to replicate some of the lighting I've seen in their lighting art installations (and some others): So far I'm working on architectural & prop elements,…
"Also I didn't really find a way to replicate the Max shift extrude edge workflow in Blender. Those are just two things that come to mind right off the bat." That's the problem ... By merely looking to replicate a specific tool/feature, you'd miss out on much more powerful ways to do the same thing. Your browser does not…
Hi Pior, thanks for the suggestion! That would make total sense. Disabling Colormanagement was the first thing I tried, I forgot to mention. I also reset Photoshop´s preferences, using the STRG+ALT+SHIFT hotkeys on starting Photoshop via the windows startmenu, trying to bring my Photoshop setup close to an replicable test…
Thank you for the crit AgelosAp! I've been working on the scene some more, and adjusted the paint to a better color. I believe the icons might make more sense now, what do you think? I also woredon a bit more texture definition for the red roofs, since it seemed unclear of what they were made from.…
