I use MODO for modeling and UVing prop assets for game
engine use. Scripts 1-5 improve general usability/UI. 6-7 are a part of my modeling workflow. 8-10 are a part of my UVing workflow. * Eterea Snapping Bar – Cristobal Vila http://community.thefoundry.co.uk/discussion/topic.aspx?f=119&t=80869 I dock this at the bottom of…
Lumia 800 and now a 630 :) If windows phone is an option for sziada i would recommend the lumia 830 or the 930 both have actual hardware and really good cameras so you can shoot some reference photos when you don´t got your camera with you :)
As far as your work goes, don't use CrazyBump for your AO or Specular maps. Use big boy tools like Photoshop adjustment layers to get the job done for your specular map, and bake your AO off of actual geometry. You'll get much, much better looking results that way. It's not bad work by any means, but without a proper AO…
The concept seems pretty intriguing so far, kind of reminds me a bit about Resident Evil in that it's "daylight" but actually underground. It'll be interesting to see what props/furniture you develop and how it'll fit into the rough looking stone/concrete. It'll be great to see a nice shot of what the core looks like and…
shader is too optimized to have only diff/normal/spec/refl. however it's not as lightweight as standard material. what else do you need to know? I use max 2011 x64, outliner, textools primitive maker, pixel pack, and some other scripts or plugins. scene is about 80k tris/ almost 300 separate objects/30-40 different…

As for ref…
If you invested $147,000 for 25 years and earned a 7% average annual return, you would have $800,000. The industry you want to work in is notorious for not paying overtime and laying employees off regularly. This will often cost you a significant amount of lost income. The lifestyle of the games industry is also generally…
Cool, he's already past his goal and 22 days more to go. Guessing he'll crack $60K. He could set up a stretch goal for 80K and he'll upgrade models with Vitaly Bulgarov's black phoenix kits: http://vitalybulgarov.com/3d-kitbash/
