Just a little update on the model. A few more additions to the exterior, then we model the interior of the car. Then we texture it and add to the unity. Boom, magic!
Most of the 3D apps have realtime shaders for previewing in the viewport. Then you have Cryengine, UDK, Unity and a bunch of other mod tools that are available.
