thank a lot for the extensive feedback! yes all the art shown is made by me, including the concepts. "Cut the 3 oldest concepts" what do you mean by this? the three worst looking?
Posting these online to my portfolio. Any crits or feedback is welcome. Should I include a rendering of the high poly? What about texture maps? Curious as to what people think about that.
Ive updated my site with a few new things, including a showreel. thanks [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzWsWWtpyXo"]Richard Wileman Environment Artist Showreel - YouTube[/ame]
First off, its looking really good, looking forward to seeing the progress on this one. Two questions, The trailer you made, what size is the texture? and does that texuture include the interior?
Ah. I guess there is no real shortcut to it then. I do use Dynamesh on a lot of things including hard surfaces on Zbrush, and then later decimate that. But the resulting geometry usually needs a lot of fixing :/
Try assigning a new material to the high poly and give that a go - I think (not too sure) that if you have a diffuse assigned to the material, and bake from that - it will also include the diffuse bake that in to it
Been a while but getting close to finishing this one now. I'd love to hear your feedback  Textured with Painter, presented in TB2 at 4k. 10,967 tris including a full magazine.
I learned the most by reading and going through the included tutorials from the help files (but this was ages ago, not sure if they're still there)...as well as reading the help on every feature I used.
