It's also good to keep in mind that even if there are overlaps, illustration art is quite different from concept art. In other words, knowing how to render shiny objects is not going to teach you anything about designing objects. If you're not familiar with linear workflow, then go to rendering>gamma/lut>disable gamma/lut correction. -

The bottom options are used when the method is set to linear, the top bunch are for when it's set to exponential.
