..you only have about 8000 verticies in that last shot, that's not very hi-poly is it? If you want to sculpt high res details, you have to subdivide it more. Try 1 million points :P -

something else I had put together a while ago but I figure it couldnt hurt to toss up here. Looking back I made a booboo with the loin cloth wrinkles :) horse is about 3k, knight around 4.2k, shield and lance about 800 together. 1024 maps for the characters and 512 for the shield and 256 for the lance. -
