adding to the above, saturate limits an input between 0 and 1. step forces a value to be 0 or 1. the 1D texture idea could work so long as it's not interpolated on at all, but that's introducing another texture sample (and potential user error) when an intrinsic function is provided. it's virtually guaranteed to be the…
Yup, you will need to bevel the low poly as well. You will also need to soften those edges on the low poly to avoid normal map errors. Here's an example of what you can expect in UE3 with normal maps + beveled soft edges vs hard 90 degree angle edges.
Regarding the NDS3D set I get, an error regarding the camera towards the end of the Program. Using the 3DS Loader I get some issues saying that TEXPC isn't defined (I cudn't find any information on this). Any of you guys had any joy playing with this stuff? Cheers Greg

I want to achieve renders like this stock photo. But all of my renders always look like they are made of clay for ex. and not steel or iron. Am i making errors in Arnold settings, or do i need to work more on my textures. Or maybe both? Any feedback is much appreciated!
Hello Melviso. Yes, PixaFlux now initializes a Vulkan device at start-up, and we've received reports that on some graphic cards it fails to initialize and crashes. We fixed recently a similar issue that was crashing on error logging, and could be the cause of this crash you experience. Could you please try again. Thank you…

Taking another stab at a CGMA course, this time with Michael Pavlovich for Zbrush, a great class, would have taken me forever of trial and error to figure out that program. It is kind of like a Zbrush Bootcamp with tons of information. I can definitely tell of improvements with using Zbrush, so it is a good day.
If you look this issue up online, you will come to the conclusion that this is a downside of baked lighting and there is no exact real solution to this other than trying to pull out your hair and tweak the lightmass settings until you minimized the visible errors. GPU lightmass coming in 4.25 hopefully won't have this…
