You don't have to start from nothing even if you're creating original art. You can get inspiration from the world around you. The best example of this is the work of Eric Guez. He transforms everyday objects into spaceships. like this: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/W28xxv
Looks like a cool start to me, you might need a purpose or backstory to the image though. why was this "photograph" taken? to show the everyday life of the workers/cleaners? some kids tagging the building maybe? try to come up with something for the viewer to look at and give them something to think about.
Hi PJanssen take a look at Ephere Zookeeper they actually offer every thing you're talking about from double window, to render pass manager, and filters. You'll maybe find some answer inside it. I use this plug in everyday and i can say that it really robust and powerfull.
Thanks for the replies everyone! ErichWK and Autocon: I didn't realize those studios "went both ways" haha. Thanks for the insight. And just to be clear, I know Max... I had to use it everyday on my last job. I just prefer Maya. Not sure how I'm "hating" on it.
I use an organisation tool called Google Keep for everyday life. Sounds like it would be worth while using it for modelling too and checking off the boxes after every little thing. At least that way it will feel like I am making progress. Thanks for your comments guys :)

[ QUOTE ] Dude. Your totally welcome to meet us Seattle Polycounters. Don't let those stuckup east siders try to lure you over. [/ QUOTE ] stuck up eh? I just live here cuz it's close to work. Would rather not have to take 405 everyday....
I dont know if a wacom makes you better at drawing but ctrl z certainly does help if you get my meaning :) I also seem to do better when im using the wacom but thats probably just because i use the wacom more in everyday "life"
despite my wife and i making enough money to buy a fucking castle with a moat around it in 99% of the world we still cant afford a 2 bedroom shanty in LA.. fuck this place, the weather is not that awesome. and i am not going to drive for 5 hours everyday just to have a house.
Little update: Been busy this days so i just extruded those arms (im already feeling like improving everyday little by little learning new things). I posted this before starting sculpting some details to receve some feedbacks reguarding proportions...
